Your Light

1991

By Kip LucasPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

When I woke up, I saw fields

gleaming in her diamond eyes.

And not knowing her own true self

I began to cry.

And my happiness passed through to her

and I felt alive.

But longing for existance got me nowhere

so here I am today, the same.

Don't ask the questions about why you are.

Don't ever fell sorry 'cos the implications wrong.

Just remember the duck with the snake in its eyes.

It remembered you all along.

You told someone something some time ago

whether they believed you, only they will ever know.

But don't just sit there, scared of what they think.

Your light shines upon you, your one and only link.
