Your Enough
When the world seems impossible, remember your enough
You close your eyes, but its not dark enough
You cover your ears, but its not quite enough
You try to scream, but its not loud enough
No one understands when you try to explain
You have a home, your alive, don’t fucking complain
When it feels there’s no escape… what do you do? How do you cope?
How do you express that you’ve lost all hope?
Beaten down, broken up, and torn apart
What’s even the point of having a heart?
It only seems to bring tears and sorrow
Would anyone notice if it stopped beating tomorrow?
But then there’s a flicker … of an emotion once buried
It almost seems to lighten the load of burdens you carry
For a split second, the world doesn’t seem to hate you as much
But reality sets in, your still broken, still a mess
What gives you the right to feel anything less
But this voice doesn’t hold as much power, no longer feels so damning
You haven’t won the war, but as always, your still standing
Remember the flicker, every time your world burns
Because
It may never be dark enough
Or quite enough
But YOUR enough
