You Wrote Me A Love Note
A quadru-haiku
Photo by Devin Avery on Unsplash
Burn the paper, send
it high into the star-flecked
heavens, fragmented.
//
Breathe ash onto the
mist-and-brine-borne winds, unclench
my fist, relinquish.
//
River of sea air,
carry broken pieces of
ashen words upwards.
//
Stars, read in full the
lying script, and consume for
me the dust remnants.

oof, felt this one. Lovely!
Oof. This reminds me of when the Step-Empress Nara burned her half of the portrait depicting her and Emperor Qianlong in the C-Drama Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace. Well done! Loved and subscribed. ❤️
