You Should Wear A Warning Sign
Dangerous
Lightning explodes, revealing its true nature
The flash, the only warning that it gives
Besides the occasional growl of thunder
Stirring up fear, reminding us, we live
*
Sometimes it flashes, far off in the distance
Sometimes crashing closer than expected
Sometimes it winks and dances hints of romance
Only to burn and ravage it’s rejected
*
Always demanding awe and unknown wonder
It never fails to show its wielding power
Awakens from the spell it casts you under
Comes and goes at any given hour
*
Love strikes the heart, much in the same resemblance
Flashes burn hot, branding raw and bold
Never saying please, nor begs forgiveness
Once red hot the next it’s freezing cold

Love the comparison
Brilliant!!!
lot of truth in that last line. Well done, my friend.
Beautiful, and that last line is so truthful ❤️
I love storms, so long as no one gets hurt. I don't believe this storm is one of those. Love burns hot. Love grows cold. Love hurts.
