You Say Nothing!

This poem is a quiet force that shapes the world. In that sense it’s fully justified to be addressed as — The mother of men.

You  say nothing !

Those deep sighs,

heavily flooding the mind,

That gentle breeze riding the wind,

yet, its brute passion fanning the wilderness’s fringe!

You say nothing !

There —that timid passivity, perhaps, as gripping time’s feverish intent, comes to bend;

And as the sullenness clings  to that fog —incessant;

You say nothing !

Adrift, amid those lost valleys painting their blues as vapory pennants,

And, freed to such slow course,

here and there, those shades of grey get  murkier at all ends

And…..You say nothing!

To all that flood tide,

Swiftly, bemoaning ebb tide, once again, NOTHINGNESS  appears —quite unspent!

Thence,

the unsettling CALM  arrives, long faced,  quite unannounced, sending out its own condolence… urgent ‼️

Stamped on smoke —and stilled—like dead on rock , it flourishingly thrives in thy dreamy presence !

And still,  you say nothing !

Yes that —calm —as good as a rut, seethes across the sands of time, whorling thro’ vacant mist to finally evade …

And thou the faithfulest : say nothing from this end to that end!

Don’t say nothing …

Your essence engulfs the occult space like a dispersing effervescence

Then, to that end, the mystic nothingness, unfolds once again  —fully gallant !

Speaking of nothing else but ever itself again and again…

Into that nothingness which as decadence, simply tends!

That nothingness creeping up in herds everywhere—

Hard rooted in the cold waits,

Of that untimely season— all dressed in black, as if fading in the cold clings of the dying flame,

I see it again in the crackling timbers—

marshaling silently thro’ the chitters as if to confound—not again,

and then, those dervish sulks drawn out in the battle fields, time and again,

But, who knows when the cloth of decadent time shall turn rogue again

Beholding quivers heartbeats to shiver and settle in the quiet of Nothingness again

O Fair weather time, I now choose to climb your tide

Dimmed to silence where everything’s bleak

A scene which evokes— THIN air , so as I speak !

I REMAIN!
