Silence is an empty sound
Leaving space for something else
Unknowing things creeping through
The walls
The halls
The attic
Descending over me
Feeling of something heavy
Lowers upon my chest
Handcuffs around my arms
Paralysis in my legs
Sadness fills my chest
I remember the fights
Kicking, screaming, trying to get out
I am still underneath you
Despite the fact that you are gone
Memories of what you did
Still live on in the quietest nights
While echoes continue ringing
In the stillest moments
Your improper visitation comes back to me
Regularly
Like a nightmare I will never shake
About the Creator
Lisa Pulliam
I love making fun of my emotions, feelings, and thoughts in short form writing such as songs and illustrations. I would like to write longer and more explorative pieces for others to read.
