You're Gone

My second half.

Come back.

My second half is gone.

You made me say that,

for the first time all along.

I've never known companionship,

until you.

Why would I wander away,

when you feel it too?

The weight of your words,

no longer weigh me down.

Just your sweat,

the remainder from a hug, a kiss, a tell.

And my weeps until 12.

The dark happiness you brought,

I never minded,

you checked off my box.

Your imprint stayed with me,

is that the sadness I feel?

When you're not here?

We both knew,

all too well.

Now you haunt me,

rent free.

There was nothing I could do,

for you.
