you're burgundy, she said

guilty pleasure

By Cristina FlowerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

it's jazz that makes me feel cocaine

it's wine and sex and smell of fame

it's red that hurts

my dress

her love

the sky

her cries,

my love.

it's silky velvet, burgundy

it's saxophone

loop therapy,

its harmonies

are driving me

to you.

it's the piano's gentle touch

it's my cigar burning as such

it's flame and sadness

power and madness

vain and gladness

flying me back

to you.

it's rain that makes the trumpet cry

it's laughs and cheers that get me high

it's double bass seduction,

this reddish violet eruption

it's delusion and confusion

it's silky, velvet burgundy

it's shade of you,

texture of me

it's what we are,

and what could be

it's smoke, it's drums

it's burgundy.

surreal poetry
