YOU CAN'T SAY THAT

Everyone has bad thoughts Right?

By KARPEPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

... "you can't say that"

Truthfully I wish I could

And at times I wish I would

Sometimes…

Sour thoughts

Pucker my lips shut

Sometimes…

I get to thinking

Of thoughts that should not be thought?

Cruel reasoning

Regurgitated as powdered words

Evil plans

Backed by empty intentions

Sometimes…

I have mean things to say

Inhaling before I speak

Snuffing out the screams

Burning my lungs with righteous fire

Drowning the brutal honesty

With the air of silence and complacency

Filters and frustrations

Rule over the silent mob

That never speaks it’s mind

Sometimes…

Intrusive ideas

Bleating out of term

Keep hacking away

Behind my forehead

Until they breach the ramparts of old age

And unleash their fury and rage

Till the day where Alzheimer’s invades

I shall walk on in a daze
