You Can Keep Pace

FOCUS

By Ruth Elizabeth StiffPublished 5 months ago 1 min read
Focus your mind

“Focus less

on what you can’t do,

and more

on what you can do.”

When we focus

on what we CAN do,

we are thinking about and doing

a very positive ‘activity’.

When you wake up

first thing in the morning,

start to think about

what you CAN do

and start to plan the day.

By thinking this way,

we start to open up new opportunities

and then we start to acquire new skills.

We live in a world

which is constantly changing,

so when we think about

our strengths and abilities,

we can usually keep pace.

‘Promoting’ this perspective of thinking

about and accepting

what we CAN do

enhances our mental well-being,

reducing worry and anxiety.

This encourages us

to think about our potential,

giving us hope for the future.

Cultivating this kind of mind-set

helps us to enrich our lives.
