Out of the thousands of faces I knew
Something inside me kept leading to you
Not just attraction or fleeting desire
Something much deeper and burning like fire
You listened carefully when I would speak
Saw hidden parts I kept guarded for weeks
Never demanded I silence my scars
Only stood near while I counted my stars
Your hands hold mine like they understand pain
Gentle enough not to tighten the chain
After so many cold years feeling lost
Love with you never arrived with a cost
You are the one for me, strange as it sounds
The calm in the chaos where safety is found
A place where my restless heart finally slows
Somewhere my loneliness no longer grows
Even your silence feels warm late at night
Never the kind that turns heavy with fright
Just quiet companionship breathing nearby
Soft as the silver of moon in the sky
Perhaps forever is fragile and thin
Still I would choose you again and again
Out of the endless uncertainty sea
You are the person that feels right to me
