You Are My Kin

Sisters

You Are My Kin

There is so much love

That everyone has for you

That people use you

To take and take and take

They take through you even

Eventually making you the bad person

Shunned

Looked down upon

You are like me

You are my kin

Which means you probably hate disappointing others

But now people are disappointed in you

People you love

People you fear

You go silent then

Hopefully less noise is good news, they think

But who are you deceiving, sister

But yourself.

You know it's not your fault

But it's not time to grieve

It's time to show

Work now

To come of this hell hole

That others have buried you in.

So well said, I commend you! (I think you left the word "out" from your next to the last line?). I cross off people who are proven to only come to me when they want something. OFF THE LIST. ❤️

  • I can relate to your story as I am an empath and dreamer . The people that try to destroy us are just jealous and wish they could destroy our kindness and humility .

  • Gosh this was extremely relatable! Unless we stand up for ourselves, people would continue to use us and blame us at the same time! Loved your poem! Congratulations on your Top Story! 🎉💖🎊🎉💖🎊
