Even though I’ve never met you
I can still see your face
See the words that you wrote
Coming in on puffs of clouds
That force me to meditate
🕊
The sun still shines
In every space where you engaged
It also brings to light
The emptiness that’s left
The void that can never be replaced
🕊
Some of us are still hoping
That somehow this is a mistake
But the reality is
Why would they steal you away?
Not when there is so much life left to live
Not when there are so many more words that need to be penned
🕊
I’m sure you’re looking at us now
Coming together to show appreciation
Sharing the many moments whether big or small
You still are an inspiration
🕊
Your words will never be forgotten
Your impact will always be felt
Whether we agreed or disagreed
You always said how you felt
🕊
The universe had other plans for you
It’s not meant for us to understand
But for some reason I know you’re still writing
Maybe you’ve already got pen and paper in hand
...
Thank you for reading. This poem was written in memory of Tom. Gone too soon but his words will live on!
