You are loved, little one

I never really understood the true meaning of unconditional love,

until heaven sent down upon me,

A pure angel; son of my son.

His voyage. Perhaps, not so sweet.

But it was love, we vowed, as a family to keep.

Things weren't always as simple as

things should have been.

But, we would bear it.

And grin.

But,

that soul who was sent to show us,

who we really should be.

What changed me?

Holding tiny hands. Little feet. Thinking

of the innocence how to him,

the candy,

really was sweet.

I knew when I laid eyes to him,

I had to leave something behind.

That little baby,

He changed my MIND.

He made me find strength

I didn't know that I had.

Had to step in and be

Granny, Grandpa, Mom, and Dad.

But to see the joy in each time he laughs,

in each time he smiles.

He inspired me from the day he was born.

Unconditionally.

Our family,

Not traditionally.

But we make it work.

To see through him,

how to "write" my wrongs.

We sing. We dance. We catch a beat.

Just me and my grandbaby.

He who brings joy to my spirit.

A little person I want to have a part in

making it better than we did we before.

If he be the reason, I stop smoking, and drinking,

and being a "whore."

So be it.

Even if I had to look him in the eyes to see me in

him, before, I could believe it.

My whole heart beats for my "Pumpkinface".

You wouldn't believe it.

When I look at him,

I believe, I can achieve it

That little baby makes me believe it.

I look for better days in his eyes.

I go hard, when I think of his cry.

For him,

I would die.
