You, and you alone.

For you alone, I would venture far,

Across the plain, under shine or star,

Through mountain pass or against the powers that be,

By the path upon the land, or sailing on the sea.

For you alone, I would patiently wait,

Through stormy skies and constant hate,

The scorn of an enemy, my kin with their constant woes,

For my heart and who it loves, it surely knows,

For you alone, I would endure the times,

Through gain and loss, through pain and crimes,

The days to collect and what it would be,

The years then spent, both you and me....
