Yin Yang

Companions of Life

LIFE IS NOTHING EXCEPT BALANCE

Death and grief, two inescapable facets of life,

Their presence felt like the edge of a knife,

A gut-wrenching agony, a burden to bear,

A chasm of emptiness, an unanswered prayer.

Their grasp, relentless, unwavering, and sure,

One that we cannot escape, nor can we ignore,

It comes to us all, uninvited and unwanted,

A journey we must take, with courage undaunted.

Grief, a journey of its own, a path uncharted,

A storm that rages within, leaving us brokenhearted,

A tidal wave of emotions that threaten to drown,

A soul in turmoil, in despair so profound.

But as the tempest subsides, and the darkness recedes,

A glimmer of hope, like a beacon, it leads,

A new perspective, a different point of view,

A strength that emerges, a spirit anew.

For death may signal an end, but also a beginning,

A transition, a transformation, a new chapter unfolding,

And though the pain of loss may linger and remain,

Memories and love, forever in our hearts, will remain.

So let us cherish the time we have, with those we hold dear,

For life is fragile, fleeting, and oh so dear,

Let us live with purpose, with passion, with intent,

Let love and joy be our legacy, our testament.

For in the end, death and grief will pass,

Leaving behind a legacy that will forever last,

A life well-lived, with love as our guide,

An inspiration to all, a source of pride.
