sunbeams and stars-

appear ever far.

Butterflies and bees-

Fly around trees.

Cloudless skies-

Birds singing up high

Oh how i long for yesteryear.

Summers that stretch-

For days on end.

Long hours of sun-

heaven sent.

Sancastles and ice-cream-

fit for a queen.

Oh how i long for yesteryear.

Here i sit-

old and grey.

I look out the window-

Its a miserable day.

My memories escape me

To that special place

IM BACK IN YESTERYEAR

Im back in time-

Memories sharp and fine.

Summer days of fun-

In glorious sun.

So if you ever feel old and grey-

Shut your eyes and begin to pray.

To go back in time-

To your special place.

THEN YOU WILL WAKE WITH A SMILE ON YOUR FACE
