Writing is My Home

I Have My Life Back

Miles off track of where she began,

Thoughts escape to her innocence.

Missing her sacred mind space,

How does she get it back?

Miles from home as she seeks answers,

Defined by simplicity; peace of mind,

Memories of the past flow into her mind,

When did she lose her home?

Miles from tranquility as anxiety sets in,

Her youth knew then how to conquer the blues,

She wrote away her fears,

Can she bring back her dreams again?

Home is a feeling she longs to resurrect,

Mindless decades spent surviving – not living.

She returns to her center,

Retreating to her writing cave, she has returned home.
