Writing As a Craft

I used to write just for myself,

My thoughts just for my own mental health.

But then I learned, oh so astute,

That writing’s a craft, to become a fluent brute.

The words must flow, with rhythm and rhyme,

To catch the reader’s eye, every time.

The structure, the pacing, the alliteration,

Are all essential for clear communication.

It’s not just self-expression, as I once believed,

But a meticulous skill, to be craftily weaved.

A tool for connection, for stories to tell,

To captivate the heart, and the mind as well.

Now I write with purpose, with careful intention,

To share my passion, and enlighten with my mention.

So let us embrace writing as a refined art,

For when we write with skill, we ignite the heart.
