Writer's Block

Writer’s block.

~

Foe of all,

Who try,

To put

Pen to paper,

Or,

Fingers to keys.

~

The struggle is real.

~

So many thoughts.

None fully formed.

None of them united.

~

Nothing to put down.

Your ideas.

Fragmented.

Lost in the depths

Of your mind.

~

Unable to form,

Sentences

Let alone

Work,

In any way,

That can be shared.

That can be,

Enjoyed.

By others,

Or even

Just yourself.

~

The

Creative stump,

How long will it last?

Hours?

Or days?

As you struggle,

To let

Your words flow.

~

To perform the activity,

Thay you enjoy

So much.

~

No longer able,

To revel

In the fact,

You were able

To perform,

That simple task.

~

That one paragraph.

That one page.

That one chapter.

~

But even if,

None of those

Could be achieved,

Just relish in the fact,

That you have,

That one idea.

That one thought.

That can be,

The beginning

Of an epic tale.

~

Hold on to it.

To that feeling,

That spark

In your mind.

~

Let it steep.

Let it fester.

Let it grow.

~

For soon it could,

Emerge.

A beautiful butterfly.

~

Like the butterfly,

Sprout your wings

And fly.

Fly wherever,

Your mind

Takes you.

~

You,

Can never know,

What you'll find

Talking flight,

In those

Open skies.

~

Is that

A cloud,

That you just

Passed by?

~

Or is it

A palace?

That within,

A story lies.

A story

That has yet

To be,

Written.
