Worthless Man

For My Father

By Halie MariePublished 8 years ago • 1 min read

What would I be if I just got up and walked away?

A stupid coward just like him? It hurts every day

He hurt me in so many ways you could never understand

I have no idea why God would make such a worthless man

But deep down inside there's still an empty space

The hard part is when I look in the mirror I see a similar face

Some nights I stay up crying wondering why he doesn't love me

But I can never figure it out, it hurts and I can't breathe

What's wrong with me? What did I do?

How come I can't get any love back from you?

I'm your daughter! Your first born

Knowing that doesn't matter just leaves me torn

God, I hate you but your still blood

And I hate the fact that I know I'll never be loved

So now you know just how I feel, but you'll still never understand

All you'll ever be is a heartless worthless man
