Worst Day Ever.

A poem

How horribly, and strangely wonderful

To have a new "worst day ever."

Because now, the last one doesn't seem

So remarkably bad.

So one day, maybe this day will hold less weight

As the last one now does.

And as we learn to move forward

And not "move on"

We take our worst days ever with us.

Blowing over like dust in a breeze.

***

Note: Not to over analyze this piece (as I try to stray away from doing so), but typically my "worst day evers" consist of horrendous amounts of hyperbole and are a composition of a million little things "going wrong." This poem is not to minimize tragic events and such actual worst days ever. More so, it's a note on living as extraordinarily dramatic beings.
