Similes to speculate

Worries can be like an annoying insect

Demanding attention until angrily squelched.

*

Worries can be like a painful sunburn

Simply requiring time for heat to dissipate and heal

*

Worries can be like rocks in your backpack

They may slow you down or even stop your progress

*

Worries can be like burrs on your clothing

They irritate and take effort to eradicate

*

Worries can be like splinters in your finger

Digging themselves deeper, requiring painful extraction

*

I like to think of worries as weeds

I watch them grow into dandelion blooms.

When they seed, I blow them away.
