World on end

Poetry

By ChidiPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

This is a world on end

Where are the rules now

On the wooden floor

BROKEN

Watch your step

You may stumble on a shard

And get one in your foot

To make you walk different

With a slight limp even

This world is on end

Away with the rules and morals

We are a rebellious bunch

Let us be

But you are in trouble with the Judge

Where is your sense of fear

Oh I get it

You're not well acquainted

Let your ignorance burn in your hand

The palms of it

But don't drop it

You won't pick it up a second time if you do

This world is a lit match

And the flames are awaiting to court her

Like a lovesick suiter from another realm
