Why must we live

In this dark world of waste

Wading through rubbish

in streets of distaste

Needles and plastic

Stuck fast to old gum

Discarded by parasites

Caring for none

*

Why must we murder

our birds, pigs and sheep

Then leave the meat rotting

unable to eat

We should be disgusted

Ashamed of our minds

Assassins of nature

Not one of us kind

*

Our dark world of waste

getting close to 'The End'

Mother nature forsaken

For gluttonous ends

But now we build rockets

to reach cleaner lands

We will ruin those too

'til our universe ends
