my loves there are wolves in the world
you will see them everywhere you go
-some will be a part of the pack
others will not
you wonder why i tell you this
you know to be cautious
-especially when about the dangerous
these wolves walk in the woods
-amongst the trees
they sit on the park benches
-next me
you expect them to be the fairy tales
bad man
-with ill intent and sneaky ways
what i want you to know
-embrace
-and use
is that the wolves
-are me and you
our ways are not bad
-just misunderstood
and to those that don't know
-or want to learn
we are what they fear
be a cautious wolf
walk carefully amongst the sheep
don't change your ways
-they are yours to keep
slowly feed those sheep
teach them about you and our pack
-let them see and and trust
-don't try to change them
as they are want to do
-embrace their differences
see them unadorned
-watch them
look not with biased eyes
see, my loves, as wolves
we are stronger
we are our pack
-at times docile
but at no time tamed
our coats are different
-no set color or coarse
unlike the sheep
-we wear them shamelessly
-and with pride
this is what scares them, my loves
our lack of desire to be as they are
so we treat them better
try to keep them safe
-because we are what they are not
wolves, they are in the world
-my loves, you now know, that those wolves
be us
