'wolf tales' lyrics

let the monsters go from my umbra

By HowlPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

The shadows still stretch back

to the monsters left behind

Who bared their fangs

and gnawed on my skin

and upon my heart

Wounds to scars,

crimson constellations

shimmer between embered argent fur

No matter how far I run

the silhouettes are always there

Until I can let

the monsters go from my umbra

I’ll never stop running away

May I learn to love

the scars they left behind

and find peace

in the grass beneath tired paws
