Tap Dancing on the Devil’s Suitcase

She escaped…

The invisible, writhing hold the demon had on her, which strapped her to the bed.

She sat up…

Sweating, she glanced over the side of the bed noticing an open pinhole in the floorboard.

She jumped back…

She watched smoke and a faint light crawl out of the pinhole.

She gasped…

Four tiny objects flew out of the pinhole exploding to full size once they landed beside her.

She stood up…

A hat, a cane and tap shoes instantaneously dressed her. A suitcase fell open.

She listened…

A growl filled with human screams snaked from far below to the top of the pinhole.

She jumped up…

Covering the pinhole, she slammed the suitcase shut.

She tap danced…

Atop the suitcase, she feverishly tapped and howled until sunrise.
