Woes over the homeland!

Mountains, blazing with fire,

Smoke into the darkness of night,

The sound of rainfall, thunder, lightning to strike!

Desolation and destruction! The scurrying of inhabitants,

with the whines of youngling's, ill suited for travel.

"Oh, the agony!" Lamentation, mourning, woes of despair!

The desecration of a mighty mountain!

"Alas, oh woe! Woe to you, oh eldest of mountains on the plain!

You who housed the living and carried the remnant of the dead!

Once as steadfast as the days of old,

Sturdy as the earth in its younger days!"

Tear droplets, flowing, dripping,

Heart strings pulled, emotions wrought,

Painful, so distraught!
