There you stood

Now I know how it feels

To know how you feel

With skipped heartbeats you've taken

Up new residence

forced out of the only part left of you.

To know all you've withstood : a world of hurt.

These new walls a prison, not protection;

for someone arrested

by their mind body connection...

Taking this long

once and for all to lose;

once and for all stand to lose

what I fought for you.

Finally to know a world of hurt and all you've withstood.

When someone else threw you away

you did the same to us when you let things go awry;

State of no mind to choose

there goes the roof;

I finally know all you've withstood within a world of hurt.

I'm not suppose to take this lying down

All that you've withstood

all that you've fought

Why are you hurt?

Don't bristle.

It's not personal.

It's only the natural choice.

For me to feel again like your little boy...

when it's my turn.
