With The Sickness

Time grows short...

Times a coming

There's no denying

Running faster than the clock

Through this universe, a flying

The ticks grow closer now than then

Like one solid sound, a banging in the head

Only one mystery is still unsolved, that's when

But it all leads to the same unfortunateness

It all means the days grow shorter, and

The nights are beginning to become

Just a sad and lonely darkness

Inside the vaults of hell

The answer screams

And there's no escaping the bell

It's coming sooner than it seems

Hold onto the memories of yesterday

Seeking the meaning is unwise

This is the price we all pay

We are all doomed to our demise

It all comes sooner than you want to see

Never is it going to make any sense

It warns us to do more than just be

And when it comes, offers no recompense

It may be that it's early for you

It may be that it's unstoppable

But there's still time for you to do

All the things that create excitement that's palpable

Do it all as fast as you can

Look back without regret

It's coming before you plan

Of that you can surely bet

When it grabs

It envelopes

Knowing stabs

It's got you
