Witch-girls

TW: Sexual Abuse and Rape

Women are witchcraft.

Strong,

Powerful,

Mysterious

And

In flames.

I remember reading about the Salem witch trials,

How 20 were turned to ash,

Because of a man's fear.

What is it about a woman's power,

That scares men so much?

I can't remember a time when a man

Told me that they were

Scared to walk home alone

Scared to be out at night without a weapon

Scared of being told they were

Asking for it.

Inviting assault.

Welcoming the violation of their autonomy.

Scared of a woman.

I have met

So

Many

Women

Broken and destroyed

By a man's grip.

Do they realize that they've created a coven?

An army of witch-girls,

Made of Fire,

And Earth,

And Water,

And Air,

And fucking magic?

It is our turn

To do the burning now.
