Before the light becomes midnight at the garden of decisions past
Hold on tight to all that gives you happiness or a smile
Grip them tightly as if they are something that will never last
Remember to be willing to walk that untraveled mile
Give chances to the ones who have done something wrong
Remembering that perfection is owned by no man in this time
Enjoy that melodic memory brought back to life by that sweet or sad song
And bear down, push forward, and seize onto life like it's a crime
Wrap your hands around everything that life offers in this place
And hold on until you've shaken it for all it's got
But don't dare live life like it's a race
It'll be over sooner than you're ready, or hit a time that's already not
Life, it's surreal
It's not for the weak of heart
But that's the unfortunate deal
And why when it comes to truly living, some never really start
