Fire amid Winter

Roiling Mists of dawn

Over mountain and basin,

Still forests of pine.

Bumbling brooks of ice

Swift currents underneath,

Soft showers of fog.

Hearth and home are lit

With scarlets and golds of flame,

Hearts stay warm with love.

Bustling, howling winds

Jostle cars and trucks alike,

Glacial and callous.
