Wind Messenger

I have never known limits or distance with only the wind's path to follow.

I rest, as the wind is calm

At last my wandering here at the edge

without a guide, I only hear

the messenger's gentle whispers.

I remember when the wind first came with the dawn

And stole me away, so young,

Quickly we moved through the clouds

and danced upon each horizon.

Each day, blowing at the footsteps

of those who sought to hide beneath

Instead of searching beyond the surface

of tomorrow.

I only know the words of the wind

"Take only for today, what belongs to this day

Only the steps that lead to your tomorrows.

For there are too many mysteries

to map the Mortal path, time

which is precious.

Turn not your head to many curiousities

Nor your money or your words

Watch only your steps today if you would not stumble, and

Carry your mirrors close to your heart."
