The rain pitters and patters/ hitting the roof tops-runs down roof-gutters and clatters/it slides splatters -crawls/ down the sides of our home's tall brick-walls /encasing the house, its presence surrounds/ isolates the present drowns/makes small the sounds around/as down this rain endlessly falls.
A pained mind dithers on fantasy's flattered/ twist romanticized meaning into mundane matters/ that plain for all to see, are well defined contrarily/ but then there are hints of possibility...
Sun-light shut-out by shutter blinds; tentatively edging over clear-cut, but ill-defined lines/ hoping, waiting, yearning, debating/- if what I want is what I need/ or if I need to want, and late-ly/: I'm not so sure of things:/-not as sure as how I used to be,/ not sure that its good for me/to vye for the things/ my mind has eyes to see.
