Will You Be There?

Even when it's cloudy and it's all grey

Even when it's dark and you are feeling blue

Even when it's mellow and you are feeling yellow

Even when you hurt and you bleed red

I'll be there

Even when the sky falls and it's all bleak

Even when the strength fails and it's all frail

Even when the sun sets and it's all dim

Even when the colours fade and it's all plain

I'll be there

When I'll be down to my knees

When I won't dazzle in gold and sparkle in silver

When it will all be gloomy and black

When the wins will all be past

Will you be there?

When it's no longer praise and adulation

When it's no longer pomp and colour

When it's no longer confetti and ice cream

When it's no longer rainbows and butterflies

Will you be there?

When the shell comes off and my true face is revealed

When it might be ugly to see and hard to take

When I'll finally be free and will need an embrace

When I'll be out in the rain seeking a place to dry

Will you still be there?
