Will There Be...

I wonder

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be social classes?

And meetings?

Alarm clocks

Sun burns

Wet socks

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be other people?

And traffic jams?

Speakerphone in public

Crowded transit

Limp handshakes

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be tips?

And strangers?

Overlong eye contact

Awkward silence

Lonely nights

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be silence?

And endless dark?

Sleepless hours

Rotting flowers

Memories and regret

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be pounding rain?

And stinging hail?

Frozen hands

Cracking trees

Wind to drown the screams

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be an 'us'?

And a 'them'?

Foreign fears

Staring eyes

Constant news

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be estates?

And police?

Riots clashing

Bombs falling

Embarrassed silence

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be politicians?

And lies?

Composed sneers

Poisoned water

Fire everywhere

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be noise?

And loneliness in crowded places?

Disasters

Lives made stats

Names on simple stones

Will there be money in Hell?

Will there be an 'I'?

And a 'you'?

Will there be money in Hell?
