Wild Ox

a bronze age king

By Trent OdlinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

soft kaleidoscopes,

split me into two, twin dreams.

sift, unearth your gaze

a simple look,

you slipped into

tertiary view a pract of

incense, honey entangled. a starlight crash!

widen the scope, narrow the view

road undithered in the maze,

cornfield of

straw and hexes.

an unhazed unworried bespokement

cascade and crash into vigor a long lost gaze

captured, tandem in chains

course consumes!

Shatter!

wild ox of straw and hex

passenger of mud and curse

dance freely! Sing!

my bard of broken words

wild ox, carrier of troubles

covered in the lacquer, shaved

one heat, swift, true seldom

glazed in the run, an armor of honey and prestige

Shatter!

wild ox, broken and bothered

down dithered and withered to near defeat

and rather than retreat

to the vestiges, with

their marrow fountains and

kaleidoscope spirits, an opportunity knocks

a gentle dance from the tyrant

a crack in the rum, wild ox shouts

Shatter!

rocks coarse and true,

withered and bled.

lacquered golem matched in

tandem, wild ox lay silent

terrible and dead.

About the Creator

Trent Odlin

After getting diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease at the age of fifteen, forcing me out of school and uprooting my life, I spent the majority of the next five years in bed. There, I found writing, and my own style of surreal poetry.
