Wild Horses in Heaven

A tribute all these years later

Today the third of March

I am thinking of you still

I wonder what it’s like up there

A birthday up in heaven?

I don’t how it’s been so long

14 years is just too much

I do know this I’m certain

Your legs are finally working

I imagine you up there

Dancing without your chair

Under trees and disco lights

Dancing up a music storm

Wild horses running free

Surrounding you in light

Every year I think of you

And I wonder how you are

I wonder if the heavens give you

A glimpse of our lives down here

I am sure that when the stars

are at their best and brightest

That it is really you up there

Setting off the fireworks

Your love for life and zest for peace

Cannot be quenched in death

I know your better off up there

Running free with time

But still it brings a heaviness

Cause I miss our time to giggle.
