You called yourself my friend, but you were counting what I had,

Taking what you could, and faking the

love you had.

I gave you time, I gave you trust, I gave you pieces of my soul,

But funny how you disappeared when I stopped playing the role.

Two best friends, that’s what we claimed,

Then somehow both of you switched lanes.

You ditched me like I meant nothing, then went running off together,

Guess fake friends stick together when the weather ain’t so clever.

You wanted what I had, not the person underneath,

You smiled right in my face while sharpening your teeth.

I was there when life got heavy, when nobody else would stay,

But when I needed someone back, you both just walked away.

Now here you come, acting like nothing ever changed,

Trying to step back in my life like your exit wasn’t arranged.

Don’t knock upon my door expecting me to let you through—

You made your choice together, now live with what you chose to do.

I ain’t mad, I’m just awake,

And there’s a difference you can’t fake.

I finally see the truth you tried so hard to hide:

You weren’t standing by my side—

you were standing by my supply.

Acting like my friend- that’s a lie.

So tell me, what you doing here?

You showed true colors my dear!

What exactly brought you back?

Oh my money thats a fact.

Did you miss the way I gave?

Or did you miss what you couldn’t save?

You had your chance, you chose your road,

And I’m impressed by the amount of loyalty you showed.

So don’t come crawling back around

Like now I’ve been lost and found.

I don’t need fake friends around me,

Smoke and mirrors fade and now I see…

I’d rather stand alone take my space,

Than have two snakes around my face.

So if you see me and I don’t speak,

Yall made feel less weak.

I’m just protecting what I rebuilt,

After watching friendships fold.

What else was I missing is the real truth to be told?

You chose each other and that’s okay.

So ima ride solo cause yall made me this way.

You already showed me who you really were.

Hurt now, but Ima be fine for sure!!
