Why reject Yourself?

You're Your first help.

Why reject Yourself?

Do You like who You are?

From the apple tree, have You fallen far?

Do You find it hard to accept love?

Do You injure Yourself when push comes to shove?

Have You ever felt internally weak?

Has the world to You ever seemed bleak?

Have You grown fearful of the outer world that's wild?

Have You ever killed Your inner child?

Do You wish that Your inner child, once again could live?

Even if Your inner child forgave You, Yourself, could You forgive?

Are You afraid that You've been made defenseless?

Have You gone on the offense, and been more than relentless?

Did You become a beast of murderous angry perfection?

Did You ever realize that Your feelings might lie in a misdirection?

Yes, we're emotional, mental, and physical.

But, have You ever rejected the gift of love that's unconditional?

For Your sins against Yourself do You repent?

Tell me, have You ever sang a "Lament?"
