Why not just be

Coming home to acceptance

Why not just be

I ride with heat grazing my skin

The sun reaching out

A temporary stain

Flooding my perception

There is no room for thought

As I face the fire

The ripple of soft cotton on my back

As wind cascades through my shirt

The sound of sweeping leaves

From nearby sakuras

Breath by breath

An endless exchange

For this moment

A bizarre feeling

To be human

To have this body

To have this mind

And to have the place behind all that

The place that sees

My joy

My fear

My anger

My sadness

My love

The truth

Is it mine?

An oscillation of internal seasons

Surrendering to each

I will ride this wildness in peace

For there is nothing I must do

No one I must be

As who I am

And what I am doing

Right now

Is perfect

I am home
