Why Harass Innocents?

Why do people stab innocents with insults?

They're not to blame for your boredom.

They're not to blame for your insecurities.

They're not to blame for your hunger for power.

All they are guilty of

Are being in your sight

And not foreseeing your actions.

Just simple poking with speared insults

Has never been enough for you, has it?

You push the spears within your targets for reactions.

You hand more to other people for bigger firepower

Or else they would be attacked, too.

You continue for the sake of your appetite

Until their confidence goes to the light...

And might take their body with them.

Gossip grows like rabbit populations,

But it's not the kind you bred.

Your victim was surrounded by dead ends

And decided six feet under was the only escape route.

You and the other attackers

Are expected raid Party City upon finding out.

Though, you all chameleon into the grieving

And decorate the casket with roses.

Why put effort in feeling bad?

To spread firepower to the family?

No.

The news serves as a shovel

Digging out the memory your hunger for power has buried:

They were a good person

And you repaid them with injustice.
