Why Do the French Eat Frog Legs?
How could they eat Kermit ?

Why Do the French Eat Frog Legs?
They say the French eat frog legs with delight,
Cooked in butter through the warm soft night,
Some laugh aloud and pull a funny face,
Others line up fast to have a taste.
Every nation has foods strange to see,
What feels odd to you feels normal to me,
Some eat snails while others chew on eel,
Different plates served up with every meal.
Markets crowded with the smells in air,
Chefs preparing dishes with great care,
Garlic frying loudly in the pan,
Old traditions carried on by man.
People gossip over wine and bread,
Stories handed down from old folks dead,
Food can bring a family close once more,
Laughing loudly by the kitchen door.
Many joke and ask the reason why,
Others simply shrug and pass it by,
Culture grows from places long ago,
Like the seeds a farmer starts to sow.
Some enjoy a pie or spicy wing,
Others crave a sweeter kind of thing,
Taste is shaped by where your roots began,
Every country feeds its fellow man.
Restaurants shine brightly late at night,
Waiters moving quickly left and right,
Travellers curious to try a plate,
Finding out the truth instead of hate.
So if frog legs ever cross your way,
You may love the flavour on that day,
Never mock the foods another makes,
Life is full of different paths and tastes.
