Why do the best love songs mention coffee?
Does that mean I won't get secret kisses in the kitchen
Or a hand to hold on the street?
Does that mean I won't have a mindreader next to me
Or a favorite place to meet?
If the best love songs mention coffee,
It means a poem may never be written about me
But I'm sure to write down a few
Because if the best love songs mention coffee,
At least I can bring one to you.
