Why Do I Cry

Why do I cry?

Maybe I just feel restless today.

Although I've tried everything I could,

Nothing is mighty enough to swat the pain away.

Or maybe it's the daily grief I bear upon my head,

Like my personal dark cloud,

Of every mistake I've ever made.

It could be that single haunting memory,

Of when you looked into my eyes,

Before you turned away and left me.

Maybe it's this feeling I get everytime,

That I've long lost my chance,

Of what was devotedly mine.

You ask me why I cry,

But behind every drop of tear I shed,

There's a thousand reasons why.

-a thousands reasons-
