Why Are Our Eyes Not The Same Colour
Every one of us are so different isn’t it strange

Why Are Our Eyes Not The Same Colour
Some are blue like oceans far away,
Some are brown like earth after the rain,
Green eyes sparkle brightly in the sun,
Every shade made different one by one.
No two people truly look the same,
Still our hearts can ache with equal pain,
God designed us all with careful hands,
Different faces spread across the lands.
Golden hazel catching morning light,
Grey eyes glowing softly through the night,
Children asking why their eyes appear,
Unlike others standing very near.
Families can carry many shades,
Passed along through old forgotten ways,
Grandad’s eyes may shine in newborn skin,
Time keeps moving circles round again.
Beauty never fits one single mould,
Not in young eyes nor the growing old,
Every colour carries something rare,
Something honest resting deeply there.
Some wear glasses hiding weary sight,
Some cry tears they struggle hard to fight,
Eyes can tell the truth without a word,
Showing feelings voices never heard.
Looking in the mirror we may see,
Questions asking who we’re meant to be,
Still each pair of eyes beneath the sky,
Holds a soul no money ever buys.
So no matter colour dark or bright,
Every eye still searches love and light,
Different shades were always meant to stay,
Making human life this beautiful way.
