Who Gives A Toss
Who gives a toss who’s called the boss.
When workers always pay the cost.
They work all day for little pay.
Then still get told to work away.
They start each morning tired and worn.
They work through every day till dawn.
They ask for more but get no more.
While bosses sit behind a door.
They tell them things are hard today.
But somehow bosses still get paid.
The workers count their pennies twice.
While bosses think their lives are nice.
The workers finally have their say.
They tell the boss they’re done this way.
They say they work and do their best.
But still they never get a rest.
The boss comes out and starts to shout.
He asks them what the fuss is about.
They tell him that they’ve had enough.
And working hard for less is tough.
They stand together in a line.
They say their working time is mine.
They want respect and decent pay.
And will not simply walk away.
The boss then sees the workers stand.
He knows that things are in their hands.
Without the people doing work.
His business would just stop and hurt.
So who gives a toss who’s called the boss.
Respect the workers and their cost.
For when the workers stand as one.
The boss may find his power gone.
