Peace. With everything that's going on in the world, we need as much of it as we can, as ordinary people who simply want to live life, in the best way we can, without angst.
Peace isn't without reach, but achieving it does require concious effort, owing to differing viewpoints and needs. Encouraging dialogue, taking steps to empathise, being fair on all counts and resolving conflicts diplomatically are good starts.
Enjoy this Aberdacerian.
A white poppy
Bleached though petals large and small
Calmly drifts with gusts of wind
Dancing slowly from side to side
Ever in rhythm formed
Fragrant flowers in a field as one
Growing together, stems towards sun
Humbly conversing in assent
In snyc, not in irate vent
Jumping with joy
Kindling care with each new bow
Loving one another with no frown
Merging as one, with new zest
Open leaves, hold out with no rest
Peaceful, stokes clarity as they bend low
Quietly extend their leaves to all
Racing to give to all their soul
Swaying in their waltz for everyone
Tolerate sometimes harsh rays of the sun
Under the sky
Very quiet though their dance is
Waltz that's gentle in the breeze
Xylophone of concord plays as their petals tease
Young buds will bloom as their petals teach
Zenith of togetherness they will reach.
